Selection of new Fellows in 2008

In 2008, 10 educators will be selected to join the Academy (with at least 1 fellow from each of the four CUMC schools).

1. Individuals wishing to be considered for membership must submit an application by February 22, 2008, in the required format (see application instructions).
2. As part of the application the candidate will submit a portfolio using the academy portfolio template that can include up to five sections (see guidelines for completing the portfolio).
   • teaching and evaluation (required)
   • mentoring and advising
   • enduring educational materials
   • educational administration and leadership
   • educational research
3. A panel of faculty in and out of the Academy will carefully review submitted applications and identify the 10 individuals whose accomplishments best meet the following selection criteria:
   • Quantity and quality of contributions in teaching and evaluation
   • Quantity and quality of contributions in other categories
   • Degree to which contributions meet nationally accepted criteria of scholarship (see selection criteria)
